We're less than two weeks away from the August 16th primary election. Some of you may have already turned in your ballot, but others, don't deny it's still sitting on your kitchen table! In any case, if you're still unsure about your vote, Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) is partnering with Greater Spokane Incorporated to host an upcoming candidate forum for City Council President at The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture.

Feel like a little yard sale shopping this weekend? There will be a big one at 19th and Evergreen in Spokane Valley.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Inland Northwest Doula Network, an organization that helps parents locate doulas and other resources.

The sale takes place Friday and Saturday,  August 5 and 6, from 8am to 3pm.

The next edition of "Council Connection", Spokane City Council hosted CityCable 5 program, debuts Wednesday, August 3rd. The first half will feature an explanation of current Salish efforts in the area and feature teaching demonstrations from specialists, Elizabeth Johnspone and Aspen Smith from the Kalispel Language Nest. This month's edition is hosted by Councilman Jon Snyder. His inspiration for the topic was stemmed from Spokane's local minor league baseball team, the Spokane Indians.
