Officers used footprints in the snow to track down a man who attempted to rob the Taco Bell at the intersection of Boone and Monroe and successfully robbed the 7-11 at Maxwell and Maple Sunday.
Investigators say 22-year-old Scott Lindell tried to rob the Taco Bell while going through the drive-thru. He didn't get any money but the workers did get the description of the stolen car he was driving.
Thirty minutes later the 7-11 at Maxwell and Maple was robbed by a man driving the same car.
That car was found nearby and police followed footprint in the snow to a house eight blocks away.
Lindell tried to run, but officers caught up with him and arrested him.
